Luke
Acts 2:36BSB·traditional attribution

Therefore let all Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ!”

Geneva Bible Notes Reformed

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. (z) Christ is said to be "made" because he was advanced to that dignity, and therefore it is not spoken with reference to his nature, but with reference to his position and high dignity.

John Calvin Reformed

Israel confessed that Christ would come, but did not know who He was. Peter declares: this Jesus, whom you despised and whose name you detested, is the one God has made your Lord and Anointed, look for no other. God gave Him this honor; He is the Head of the Church and holds all power. Peter's final sting, reminding them they crucified Him, cuts deeper still, for now they know His true identity.

William Burkitt Anglican

Peter does not traffic in generalities; he presses home: Ye are the men. This same Jesus whom ye crucified with wicked hands. Without such close and particular application to every conscience, the sermon's efficacy withers. The success of the word preached depends entirely on warming it through personal accusation.
