John Mark
Mark 10:19BSB·traditional attribution

You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not cheat others, honor your father and mother.’”

Matthew Henry Presbyterian

Mark shows us what earnest seeking looks like: the man ran, knelt, and spoke weightily about eternal life, no shame, no delay, no private conference in darkness. He laid aside his ruler's dignity to learn from Christ, and his haste itself proved he meant business with his soul.

Commenting on Mark 10:17-31

William Burkitt Anglican

Observe here, That the duties which our Saviour instances in, are the duties of the second table, which hypocrites are most failing in. But nothing is better evidence of our unfeigned love to God than the sincere performance of our duty to our neighbours.

Albert Barnes Presbyterian

Verse 19. Defraud not. Do not take away your neighbour's property by fraud or dishonesty. To cheat or defraud supposes a covetous desire of a neighbour's property, and is usually attended with falsehood or false witness against a neighbour in obtaining it. It is thus a violation of the ninth and tenth commandments; and our Saviour very properly, therefore, condensed the two, and expressed their substance in this--not to defraud.
