Psalm 121:3WEB·author unknown

He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.

C.H. Spurgeon Reformed Baptist

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved. Though the paths of life are dangerous and difficult, yet we shall stand fast, for Jehovah will not permit our feet to slide; and if he will not suffer it we shall not suffer it. If our foot will be thus kept we may be sure that our head and heart will be preserved also.

Geneva Bible Notes Reformed

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. (b) He shows that God's providence not only watches over his Church in general, but also over every member of it.

Keil & Delitzsch Lutheran

The psalmist lifts his eyes to the holy mountains of his native land and asks: whence will my help come? His own longing desire answers: from Jahve alone, Maker of heaven and earth, whose power reaches to the remotest corners of creation, in whom both willingness and power to help dwell.
