The crowds that pressed upon Christ to hear God's word were so vast that no house could hold them, yet how few truly believed! Some might count this vulgar clamor a dishonor to Him; I say it was an honor, for their souls were as precious as any ruler's, and His aim was to bring the many, not the mighty, to God.
