Isaiah speaks there chiefly of Christ, yet many things attributed to Him belong also to His ministers, not all, for certain titles are His alone, wicked sacrilege to claim otherwise. Christ is our Righteousness; we are merely His instruments. He appointed Himself our teacher and has placed pastors in His stead to speak from His mouth, so His authority remains whole and He is heard through them. Paul rightly applies Isaiah's words of Gospel preaching to his own calling.
