Here are two miracles woven together, as Christ's good works were thick sown through His days. Note how trouble drives us to Him: this ruler's daughter died, and he came worshipping at Christ's feet. In affliction we must not sit astonished but fall down and pray, as Job did. His humility showed itself in coming himself, not sending a servant, and in giving Christ all honor, for they who would receive mercy from Christ must give honor to Christ.
