Ezekiel
Ezekiel 34:10ESV·traditional attribution

Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require my sheep at their hand and put a stop to their feeding the sheep. No longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. I will rescue my sheep from their mouths, that they may not be food for them.

Matthew Henry Presbyterian

God's heart is against the shepherds, and His face too. They had His commission to feed the flock, yet they took no care to shield them from idolaters or captors, as if no shepherd existed at all. Those who merely wear the name and authority of a shepherd, without faithfulness to the trust, will find that God does not stand with them but against them.

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Reformed

I will require my flock-- (Heb 13:17), rather, "I require," &c., for God already had begun to do so, punishing Zedekiah and the other princes severely (Jer 52:10).
