On that night the king could not sleep. And he gave orders to bring the book of memorable deeds, the chronicles, and they were read before the king.

Satan stirred Haman to kill Mordecai; God stirred the king to honor him. The king's word stands above Haman's, and God's counsel stands above them both. Even a sleepless night becomes the instrument of His purpose.
