David had many sons, and his quiver was full of arrows as the Psalmist loved to sing; but some were his deepest grief. Only Solomon truly followed his piety, yet even he fell short. The wisest among us are those who reprove us faithfully, and David honored Nathan the prophet all his life for doing so.
