The Apostle Peter
1 Peter 3:13BSB·traditional attribution

Who can harm you if you are zealous for what is good?

John Calvin Reformed

13 Who is he that will harm you He further confirms the previous sentence by an argument drawn from common experience. For it happens for the most part, that the ungodly disturb us, or are provoked by us, or that we do not labor to do them good as it behoves us; for they who seek to do good, do even soften minds which are otherwise hard as iron.

Matthew Henry Presbyterian

Christians ought to be of one mind in the great points of faith and practice, yet show compassion even where minds differ. Love your brothers with more than common affection, and extend civil courtesy to all, even a vile apostate deserves that much. This is not sentiment; it is the law of Christ.

Commenting on 1 Peter 3:8-15

John Gill Reformed Baptist

And who is he that will harm you,.... Or "can harm you". God will not; for his eyes are upon the righteous, to protect and defend them, and, his ears are open to their cries, to avenge them; he is on their side, and he is the only lawgiver that is able to save, and to destroy.
